WHO WE ARE AND WHERE WE ARE FROM

We grew up in Jasper, Indiana, a small town in southwestern Indiana.

After graduation from Jasper High School in 1969, Ed headed off to college.  At Murray State University, Murray, Kentucky he was active in student government, social fraternity and other campus activities.  He was a cheerleader for MSU football and basketball during his senior year.

After graduation, Ed worked for the City of Indianapolis as a community center director and then for Stokley-VanCamp in quality control.  Ed began his sales career with K&M Jewelry covering 3 states.  In 1977 he returned to the family farm for a two year stay.  During that time, he and Sheila met and were married.

Ed returned to sales in animal nutrition covering the southern one third of Indiana. The next opportunity took Ed and Sheila to Louisville, KY with the opportunity to manage a branch operation of Jasper Engines and Transmission.

Five years and two children later, Sheila and Ed moved back to Indiana.  Ed became a Sales Representative with Schering-Plough Animal Health covering three Midwestern states.

Schering-Plough promoted Ed, and the Rudolph family was on the move again, this time to New Jersey, where Ed worked in the marketing department.  After a year came another move to Lafayette, Indiana working with clients from Wisconsin to Pittsburgh.  While living in the Lafayette area, Sheila attended Purdue University and in 1997 she graduated with a BS in management.

Prioritizing the importance of family, we decided the best thing for the kids was for Sheila to be at home when they are home.  Sheila and a friend began a wallpapering business in 1989 which was very successful until moving from the area in 2003.  This profession gave Sheila the flexibility to be available for our children and to get an education.  It also provided the opportunity to build friendships with her clients and help them to beautify their homes.

After the kids headed off to college, Schering-Plough offered Ed another promotion and the Rudolphs headed to Wilmington NC.  Ed’s new job as a Swine Specialist required him to cover the eastern 1/3 of the US.  After three years, Schering-Plough and Ed parted ways which allowed Ed and Sheila to form The Rudolph Team.

As we have worked and moved across the country, we have gained friendships that have lasted for many years.  We know that building those friendships take work, as well as a willingness to be open and honest with people.  We look forward to working with and getting to know you.

We have had many experiences buying and selling our homes.  We know that buying or selling a home is not only one of the most exciting times for a family, but it is also one of the most stressful.  We are excited that you are giving us the opportunity to help you in this process.
